Philadelphia Union are finalizing a club-record deal to sign Ghanaian youth international forward Ezekiel Alladoh from Swedish club Brommapojkarna. The Union will pay a fee in the region of $4.5 million and Alladoh will hit the roster via the U-22 initiative.
What does this mean for the Union?
The talented forward is a big, physical presence that the club believes will continue developing in Philly. Alladoh stylistically fits in the Union’s high-pressing, transition system played under freshly crowned MLS Coach of the Year Bradley Carnell.
Current context
As of June 25, 2026, the Union are standing strong with a league standing of 1st in Major League Soccer, 66 pts, 20W-6D-8L from 34 games, and a recent form of LWWWL. | Stat | Value | | --- | --- | | League standing | 1st in Major League Soccer | | Points | 66 | | Recent form | LWWWL |
What comes next?
Alladoh joins an attacking unit that includes previous club-record signing Bruno Damiani. There may be further change, with Israel international Tai Baribo potentially subject to interest elsewhere and Mikael Uhre’s contract expiring this winter.
The Union's next fixture is against New York Red Bulls at home on July 22, 2026.
