Philadelphia Union has officially kicked off its youth summer programs at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex in Chester. Starting on Monday, the six-week program features 12 team practices that will run through late July. Young athletes are not only participating in practices but also experiencing the excitement of World Cup fever. This initiative is designed to help players of all levels learn the game's tactics in a safe, fun, and competitive environment. The summer programs are a collaboration between Philadelphia Union and Widener University, showcasing the club's commitment to developing young talent. Additionally, participants have had the unique opportunity to meet members of Ivory Coast's national team, enhancing their experience. The summer programming will culminate in a tournament at the end of July, providing a platform for these young athletes to showcase their skills and compete against one another.
