The Philadelphia Union is gearing up for the FIFA World Cup, with six games scheduled to take place at Lincoln Financial Field this summer. The tournament will kick off on June 14 and will feature a mix of international teams, including the United States, Brazil, France, Croatia, Haiti, and Iraq. The Philadelphia Union's fans will have plenty of opportunities to catch the action, with various watch parties and events planned around the city. The American Outlaws, the national team's supporters group, will host watch parties for all three group stage games at the Top Tomato Bar in Center City. Many of the bars that were regular spots for English Premier League games and supporters groups will also be showing the World Cup action. Chinatown's Lion Bar will be a good spot to catch any of the World Cup action, with its 35 screens, usually volume up. During the tournament, it will still have walk-ins and standing room available, but it will also partner with nearby Yamitsuki Ramen to offer guaranteed seating packages with open bar and buffet included. It will also serve as a base for French football fans. On June 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the bar is partnering with the French Football Federation to be a primary gathering spot for Le Bleus supporters before they head down to the stadium for the team's game against Iraq at 5 p.m. The German Society of Pennsylvania on Spring Garden Street will have various events and watch parties throughout the tournament. The organization will also be hosting a World Cup viewing party on July 4, featuring a live broadcast of the United States vs. Iran game. The event will include food, drinks, and games, and is open to the public. The Philadelphia Union's fans will have plenty of opportunities to catch the action and enjoy the global soccer celebration. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just looking for a fun and festive atmosphere, there's something for everyone at the World Cup in Philadelphia.
